I am so happy to have an administration in the White House that understands the importance of protecting and defending our environment. The government must take the lead by promoting the use of sustainable energy sources and materials. It is also incumbent upon them to inspire and enable businesses and individuals to do the same. The best way to do this is to lead by example.

As President Obama said many times during his election campaign, democracy works from the bottom up. We, as concerned business owners, must also do our part to lead the government. SFI is doing a great service to the rest of us in his regard.

At our company we have wanted to build our playhouses in a more environmentally friendly way. We recently found a source of wood products made from trees grown to SFI standards and are now using them for most of the materials in our playhouses. We intend to continue looking for ways to improve. Thank you.
